Birthday Party!

We originally planned for a nice party at the park....then it was forecast to rain! So it was a scramble to find something inside a few days before the party! But, alas AdventurePlex pulled through with their "drop-in party"! A brilliant idea if you ask me!

Really scared!

Valentines Day

Valentines Day at school......Aspen's handmade valentines!
Or should I say footmade!

Birthday Time!!!

Happy Birthday Girls!
Of course we had a bright pink cake with pink frosting and the girls got to decorate it themselves!
Then we packed up the girls and their cousin Angel and headed out to Adventure City! The best place for younger kids! It is affordable and totally amazing for kids. They can ride everything from age 2 up.

Wall Art

The Getty

Aspen looking at her favorite painter! Monet!

Ahh I love The Getty

The Getty has 45 permanent gardeners and 5 of them work solely on the garden!

Teacher Bonnie makes a lesson out of everything!

I love when they get along!

I think Aspen is telling Karlyn "go ahead boo boo, you can do it!" oh yea for some reason she started calling Karlyn boo boo! Its pretty adorable!

Big Weekend....

First we went to the Santa Monica Airport

where we had lunch and watched the small planes take off and land!

We were lucky, it happened to be the 75th anniversary and they were giving tours of old D-Day planes!

right on the tarmac!

Then we headed over to the Santa Monica Pier where we let the girls ride some quarter rides!

This was the only one Karlyn liked! And she wanted to do it over and over and over again!

Aspen loved them all, but still had her personal limits! Such as nothing that went too high or too fast. In fact there was a helicopter quarter ride that she got on and unbeknownst to her it went up and down. The first time it went up she literally dove out of the ride and we had to convince her that it was safe and only went to that height and wasn't going to take off!

This was Aspen's favorite. Gilbert and I could not believe she wanted to do it! I told her it was just like the trampoline at Teacher Bonnie's, just a bit bigger, and they put cables on you so you don't fall off! She loved it and keeps asking to go back and do it again! Maybe when Nana is here!

She was really into listening to the street performers that were there!
