Well, our baby has finally arrived. Karlyn Julianne was born at 2:49am, on February 5, 2009 (Aspen's birthday -- what are the odds of that!) A healthy baby weighing in at 7 lbs 1 oz and measuring 20 1/2 inches long. Active labor was around 6 hours long....not too bad considering Aspen's labor was 15 hours! I did it without any epidural or pain medication. UCLA Ronald Regan Hospital was wonderful, I could not have asked for better nurses or midwives. Every person we encountered got nicer and nicer.
